Bicycling Sonoma

A couple of panoramas...

King Ridge

Lake Sonoma

Landed in San Francisco and proceeded to the 21st Amendment Brewing Company. Took pictures of the beer but not my friend Nancy. Oops.

Day 1, Occidental loop to the coast. No redwood pictures because we were going too fast, no coast pictures because it was fogged in.

Headed up from the coast to Joy Hill. Presumably the joy is from hallucinating in 95 degrees on 16% grades.

More beer. Stopped at Russian River Brewing Company on the way home. Pliny the Elder is their popular beer but the Belgian sours were the best I’ve had.

Bridge over the Russian River to Westside before they turned us around

Detour back up Eastside...

Oh yeah… Eastside bridge was closed… all roads from the south closed to bicyclists

Rusty grates on an abandoned bridge in cleats 100 feet over the river…

Day 3 up Sweetwater Springs to Guerneville

Starting to get steep…

Vineyards everywhere

Loose gravel and 15% grades on the descent… exciting
